Where boundaries are meant to be broken
The Rebel Nomad emerged from Nadine's desire to break traditional creative boundaries. Having navigated life across geographies — Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and now Dubai — she understands that true creativity lives where rules are questioned and norms are challenged.
“Children and teens have an innate ability to see beyond limitations,” she says. “Our job isn't to instruct them — it's to unleash them.”
We believe creative thinking is design thinking. When young minds learn to break boundaries with purpose, they become more than makers — they become visionaries.
We don't follow the map. We redraw it.

Nadine Lama
Palestinian creative educator · 26 years teaching · nomad by nature — Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, France, the UK, and now Dubai.
Over the past 26 years of teaching, she has set up design studios in different cities across the world, focusing on growing the movement and providing creative spaces in partnership with schools, hospitals, charities, and NGOs. Today she runs The Rebel Nomad's sessions for children, teens and adults, and is based in Dubai.

The Rebel Space
A creative room of their own — organised chaos designed around your child, built inside your home.
A room that gives permission
Most homes are made for living — not for creating. The Rebel Space transforms everyday environments into intentional creative zones — a corner, a wall, or an entire room, thoughtfully organised with materials and layered with inspiration to encourage design, exploration, and bold self-expression.
Nadine designs each one from scratch. She meets the family, spends time with the child, and works out what they actually reach for — then turns that into a space they'll use every day rather than a styled room they're afraid to touch.

How it works
We talk
A conversation with you about the home, the space you have in mind, and what you're hoping it changes.
We meet
Time with your child — what they make, what they avoid, how they use a room when nobody's directing them.
We design
A custom plan for layout, surfaces, storage and materials, built around that child rather than a catalogue.
We build
Sourcing, making and installing, then a walkthrough so everyone knows how the space is meant to be used.

The Rebel Space suits a bedroom corner as easily as a spare room. It works for one child or for siblings sharing. Ages roughly 3 to 16 — the older the child, the more they help design it.
